A Colchester company which employs 116 people needs to find more than another 100 to fulfil its fast-expanding list of  contracts.
CloudFM, the facilities management firm, has a range of jobs to fill, ranging from helpdesk apprenticeships to experienced software developers and financial professionals.
Helen Tidswell, group communications director, said: “We welcome applications from people with a range of backgrounds. We already employ staff who have worked in, for instance, pubs, retail and engineering.
“We train all staff for the exact requirements of the job, so it’s often more about the approach they bring to the work than their specific previous experience.”
As its expansion rate shows, CloudFM represents one of the big growth stories of Colchester business in recent years.
It specialises in solutions to management, maintenance and accounting processes, and technical consultancy. and has a particularly strong track record within the catering industry.
Major national contracts have recently been signed with Pizza Express and KFC. CloudFM also services the Guardian newspaper group, and has recently won a contract with the charity group Scope Services, which works with disabled people and their families across the country.
Helen said: “To give some impression of the range of our business, we now have responsibility for 4,000 buildings across the country.”
CloudFM Group chief executive Jeff Dewing said: “We are taking on more business all the time, and are excited by fresh challenges.”
Helen also says there is major scope for career development as the fast-changing requirements of the work means CloudFM operates a rolling programme of training and career development.
CloudFM was launched in 2011 by a team of experts who saw FM technology as the best means for taking a range of business.
Jeff said: “We set out to challenge the status quo with a complete step change, and we have validated our convictions with tangible results.”
