Repairs on rat-affected homes near completion
RESIDENTS forced out of their homes by rats have moved to new addresses.
Six tenants were given temporary accommodation or stayed with family after a drainage problem caused rodents to appear in four flats at a block of 30 apartments in Howard Close, Braintree, in March.
Amanda Bhavnani, spokesman for Greenfields Community Housing, said: "The residents are happy to not move back and have now moved into different properties.
"Monitoring and inspection of the Howard Close flats is still ongoing. The drainage repairs are now complete and landscape and gardening works will be completed in two to three weeks time."
Greenfields are spending more than £45,000 on all the work.
