After six months of planning, committee members and volunteers met on the village hall playing field to put up tents, set up stalls and competitions ready for the opening at noon.
Apart from all the usual various attractions, the barbecue and beer tent were popular, the dog show was well supported and the vintage cars a real draw.
This fete was a huge success, and chairman Garry Mills thanked those involved, particularly Anna Brunshill who spearheaded the event, the hard-working committee, the sponsors, the volunteers and the public who turned out despite wet weather.
