The society held its annual autumn show on Saturday and a record number of entries made it a highly successful event and most gratifying to committee members to see their work rewarded.

Thanks are due to the helpers and suppliers of cakes for the tea room which was busy all afternoon.

The best allotment on the old site was won by Anthony Stebbing and on the new site by Sheila and Phil Turner.

Thomas Smith was awarded a special prize for the high standard of his allotment. The best front garden prize was won by G and M Blake.
