At Thursday’s meeting in the village hall, Alan Jones gave an enthusiastic talk about his family tree.
Copies of photographs, documents and papers relating to his Welsh ancestors were displayed.
There had been an enjoyable outing the previous Monday to the Chocolate Lady in Steeple Bumpstead, where members enjoyed chocolates and cream teas.
At the next meeting on October 16, Edward Pretty will speak about his time at Audley End.
A collection will be taken for the air ambulance.
